A part-time job in a garden centre, aged 16, ignited an early interest in horticulture, which has over time bloomed into my passion.
Following A levels, I trained as a CAD Designer but quickly realised the office environment was not for me and I was itching for something to get my hands dirty!
I returned to my interest in gardening and decided to make it my profession. I educated myself by reading books, magazines, articles on the internet and by real hands-on experience on small jobs and in my own garden. I then attended courses at Lackham College culminating in a City and Guilds in Garden Design.
Most recently I completed a diploma from the National Design Academy and also trained in the CAD programme Vectorworks.
My design ethos is to upcycle the plants and hard landscaping already existing in a garden before introducing new elements. I then source local plants and materials at the best price to the customer.
I enjoy being as close to the project as possible, completing as much work myself as possible including, clearing, planting, sourcing materials and screening landscapers.
This ensures a consistent and high quality finish with a single vision.
I pride myself on being meticulous, motivated and creative, able to fulfill clients needs on every project.
